I had so much fun with the R Family for their family portrait session! It was late in the fall season and most of the leaves were gone, and mama Ashley wasn't sure if we should just wait til spring for prettier, greener scenery. I assured her that we could still probably find a little fall color around even though it was the end of November, and she decided we should just go for it. And I'm so glad we did!! I've been a photographer in Fort Collins since 2011, so I have a few locations up my sleeve with pockets of trees that usually hold on to leaves a little longer, and I know how to work that golden sunlight to add color and drama.  I am SO very glad that Ashley trusted me and that we went for it, because we had an absolutely beautiful day and captured some gorgeous photos that really showed their connection! Just look at all those big smiles and giggles - absolutely worth capturing! 

If you're just waiting for the perfect time for photos... the perfect foliage, the perfect weight, the perfect outfits, the perfect anything - let me just say, don't wait!! It's so easy to put things off til next year, but before you know it, the kids will be grown and gone, and you'll wish you had made the time to save these memories.
