Fall is a beautiful time for family portraits - and winter is a wonderful season to catch up on blog posts. :)  I'm just around to posting this fun family session from this past fall.  One of the advantages to working with a family with older kids and a dog is that you can walk a lot farther to more remote locations!  I took the Thurston family to Riverbend Ponds Natural Area in Fort Collins for their session, and I'm glad I did!  It was late in the season, but we still were able to capture some beautiful fall colors.  We had temperatures in the low 60s, and the very next day, a cold front moved in and covered everything with snow!  Glad we got out just in time!
